All
of my standard drawings are designed to be displayed with a mat to protect
the art. Room is left around the edges for this purpose. That is, the actual
"drawing" is not rendered edge to edge. All of my graphite and colored pencil
portraits come with a single mat, either oval-cut or rectangle cut as desired.
I have black, white, or antique-white matboard to choose from. All of my
papers and materials are of the highest quality. If you prefer double matting,
I'll cut one for 10.00 extra. Oil paintings are produced on quality canvas
and do not use a mat. All oil paintings come with a standard frame and appropriate
wall attachments. For more information on my oil paintings, please feel

Custom Drawings:
A price quote can be given for any
requested "custom" portrait. A portrait is considered custom if it is a
size different from those listed above, includes more than one animal, includes
a background scene, or has some complicated detail work such as lace or
patterns. The charge for an additional pet within the same portrait is +30%
of the base price. The cost for renderings that include a background or
other detail work depends on the complexity of the scene. Frames along with
double-mats are available for all colored pencil/graphite portraits.

YOUR photo:
I'll need at least one photo, preferably
two or more to draw your pet. The photo doesn't have to be perfect, but
the more detail I can see the better your portrait will be. You can either email your jpg photos or mail me film photographs. Please indicate
which one to use for the pose. All film photos are returned to you unharmed upon
completion of the drawing or painting. If you aren't sure if your photo
will work, please email me and we can talk about it before you decide to
commission a portrait.

Graphite
and colored pencil drawings take no more than 1 to 2 weeks plus shipping
time. Oil paintings take 2 to 4 months.
